Adolf Mkenda
Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Tanzania
Professor Adolf Faustine Mkenda was appointed Minister of Education, Science and Technology in 2022. In addition, he is also MP for Rombo constituency in the Kilimanjaro region and an associate professor of economics at the University of Dar es Salaam. His former government roles include Minister of Agriculture between 2020 and 2022, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism between 2019 and 2020, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation from 2018 to 2019 and Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment from 2017 to 2018. He has a PhD from Gothenburg University and a bachelor’s and master’s from the University of Dar es Salaam.
