Dominic Savage

Dominic Savage was the Director General of the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) from 1984 until 2016. He founded Bett in 1985. He sat on a variety of UK committees and working groups on education, particularly in relation to new technologies and international trade and was a member of the UK Government’s International Education Council. He is Chair of Governors of a large London Secondary School, Chair of a School Trust and has been a member of an Interim Executive Board for failing school improvement. Originally an electronic engineering graduate of the University of Wales, he is an LRAM, a Fellow of the Institute of Association Management and an Honorary Fellow of the College of Teachers. He received the OBE in 1997 for services to education.
