HE Dr Amjad Barham
Minister of Education and Higher Education, Palestinian Authority
Dr Barham serves as the Minister of Education and Higher Education in the Palestinian government. Prior to that, he held various pivotal positions including presidency of Palestine Polytechnic University from 2021 to 2024. He is an associate professor in Applied Mathematics. Beyond academia, he has made significant contributions to the governance of education in Palestine and led leadership roles within the Palestinian Federation of Unions of University Professors and Employees, where he served as chairman from 2006 to 2021. He holds a PhD degree in Applied Mathematics from Rajasthan University, India. He has a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics.
