Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir,
Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia
Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir is Minister of Higher Education and is a member of the Dewan Negara (Senate Assembly). Previously, he was Chief Minister of Perak, fostering bottom-up and inclusive policies that prioritised the middle-income group for opportunities in employment and social improvement. He was the former Foreign Minister serving from 2022-2023.. During his tenure as Chief Minister, the State was named The Most Promising State for International Investment during the 6th Middle East Business Leaders Awards in Dubai. He has also been awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of East London for his contributions in prospering and transforming the State of Perak. He has a PhD in Political Thought from Temple University with expertise in the fields of political economy, contemporary South East Asian politics and contemporary Malaysian politics.
