HE Ms Ester Anna Nghipondoka

Hon Ester Anna-Liisa Shiwoomwenyo Nghipondoka is the Minister of Education, Arts and Culture and has been serving the Ministry for close to forty years. Before her appointment as Minister, she was the Deputy Minister of Education and, prior to that, Acting CEO for Namibia Training Authority. She has previously served as the Deputy Minister of Education, Arts and Culture from 2015 to 2020. She was Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Training Authority from 2013 to 2014. Prior to this, she served as the Director of Education, Omusati Region, Deputy Director of Education Oshikoto Region, Director of Education, Oshikoto Region. She also acted as Senior Education Officer, Ondangwa West. Prior to this, she served as a teacher and as a Principal of Otjikoto Secondary School. She has a Master of Education, a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts.
