HE Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan

Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan was appointed as Minister of Education in 2022. His previous positions include Vice Chairman and CEO of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC). Other positions at SABIC include Executive Vice President of Finance, of Chemicals Strategic Business Unit and of Human Resources. He is Chair of various organisations including the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, the National Institute for Professional Educational Development, the National Centre for E-Learning, the University Higher Education Fund and the Regional Centre for Quality and Excellence in Education. He is a Board member of Saudi Tadawul Group. He is a member various committees including the Saudi National Committee for Education, Culture and Science and of the Supreme Committee for Research, Development and Innovation. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics, a Masters in Industrial Management, and and Executive Certificate from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
