Honourable Aminata Kaba

Minister of Technical Education, Vocational Training and Employment, Guinea

Ms Aminata Kaba was appointed Minister for Technical Education, Vocational Training and Employment in March 2024. Prior to this, she served as Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and the Digital Economy from 2021 to 2022, then as Minister of Information and Communication from 2022 to 2024. Her previous experience includes international institutions including the Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as a Programme Officer, in UNICEF as an ICT Officer in Central Africa Republic and in the private sector. She worked at MTN-Areeba Guinea as Head of Network Quality and Reporting, and at Ericsson in the United Kingdom as a Design Engineer. In the public sector, she first held the positions of Director of Operations, Director of Radiocommunications of the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ARPT) before being appointed Program officer at the Telecommunications Development Bureau (BDT) in 2016, then Deputy Director General of the ARPT then Deputy Director General in charge of Operations at the National Backbone Management Company (SOGEB) of Guinea. She holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from the University of Westminster in London (United Kingdom) with a specialisation in satellite and mobile telephony communication, a Master's degree in computer networks and telecommunications at the Professionalised University Institute of the University of Paris XII and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications from Gamal Abdel Nasser University in Conakry (Guinea). She also has an Executive MBA diploma -Master in business administration for executives from HEC Paris since July 2023.
