Minister of State Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education
Luke Hall was appointed Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education in March 2024. His responsibilities include overall strategy for post-16 technical education, T Levels and transition programme, qualifications reviews, higher technical education, apprenticeships and traineeships, further education workforce and funding, higher education quality and reform, widening participation in higher education, Institutes of Technology, local skills improvement plans and Local Skills Improvement Fund, adult education, including basic skills, the National Skills Fund and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, international education strategy and the Turing Scheme. He was previously Minister for Regional Growth and Local Government at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government from 2020 to 2021. He was Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government from 2019 to 2020.
