Mercedes Miguel

Mercedes Miguel is currently Minister of Education for the City of Buenos Aires and former member of the Education Advisory Board at Nord Anglia Education. She is a fervent advocate for collaborative learning networks and has a journalism degree from the Pontifical Catholic University and education courses from Harvard and Singularity University. She brings a wealth of expertise in Education Information Technology and Montessori pedagogy. Prior to her ministerial role, Mercedes co-founded Teach for Argentina and held various positions within the Buenos Aires Education Ministry. Nationally, she spearheaded initiatives like the National Education Strategy Plan and worked to enhance digital literacy and mathematics education. Mercedes represented Argentina at OECD and UNESCO committees. She drives innovation in education, fostering learning communities through her podcast and Instagram, embodying her dedication to sustainable learning practices. Author of "Wild Learning" and Co-Chair of the Education Commission DeliverEd project, Mercedes continues to drive systemic transformation and innovation in education.
