Ogerta Manastirliu
Minister of Education and Sport, Albania
Ogerta Manastirliu joined the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party for the District of Tirana in 2017 and was elected deputy of the District of Tirana in 2021. She was Minister of Health and Social Protection from 2017 to 2023 and she is a member of the Presidency of the Socialist Party. From 2013 to 2017, she directed the Mother Teresa University Hospital Center in Tirana. She is an external lecturer at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and, in 2004, she started her professional career in the Municipality of Tirana, initially in the Project Coordination Directorate. She directed the Directorate of Housing and Social Service, becoming one of the main contributors to the design and implementation of the Local Social Housing Strategy. From 2011-2013, she was engaged as an expert for the management and coordination of social policies and human resources for various national and international organisations. She holds the title of Doctor of Science in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry. She has a Master of Science from the University of Tirana, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences in the General Chemistry branch.
