Younes Sekkouri
Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Morocco
Younes Sekkouri was appointed Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills in 2019. He served on a high-level think tank on post-COVID strategies. Prior to his appointment, he was Dean of the Africa Region of the Ecole des Ponts Business School. He is also an expert to the UN Economic Commission for Africa in the areas of economic and industrial policies and structural change, and a member of the Strategic Committee to the UN General Secretary for the Arab Human Development Report (2014-2016) focused on Arab youth. During his academic and professional career, he has developed significant research, teaching and consulting experience in the United States, Europe, and Africa in the areas of corporate strategy, leadership, innovation, and public policy design. From 2011 to 2016, he was a member of the parliament, first house member and member of the budget committee. He graduated from the Institut National des Postes et Télécommunications (INPT) and is also a laureate of the ASPEN Institute in Paris in leadership. He holds a PhD in Strategy from ISCAE (Institut Supérieur de Commerce et d’Administration des Entreprises) and also has two Executive MBAs from Ecole des Ponts Business School and the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
