Professor Dr Yusuf Tekin

Yusuf Tekin was appointed as the Minister of National Education in 2023. Previously, he served as Undersecretary at the Ministry of National Education from 2013 to 2018, and the chairman of the board of trustees of Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye Manas University between 2015 and 2018. He then held the position of Rector at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. He worked as a lecturer at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University until 2007 and achieved the title of associate professor in the Department of Political and Social Sciences. He was appointed to Faculty of Security Sciences at the Police Academy in 2009 and assumed the role of Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports in 2011. He began his career as a research assistant at Cumhuriyet University, completing his master's degree and earning his PhD in the field of politics and social sciences. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences Department of Public Administration.
